i have passed through Intel ARC A750 to a windows VM from KVM/libvirt, first attempt to install driver i got blakc screen, so shutdown VM and chaged the VGA device fomr NONE to QXL to i could see what was happening, reinstalled windows driver for Intel ARC A750, no display still checked device manager and Intel ARC A750 is showing a CODE 43!!!
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
so is Intel Driver doing same nonsense as Nvidia? ALSO why no SRIOV capability when iGPU has that!

Hello gh975223,
Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
Regarding code 43 can be caused by hardware problems or driver or settings corruption, and there is a possible solution we want you to try first for Intel® Arc Dedicated Graphics.
We recommend performing a clean install of latest graphics drivers, please follow link below walk-through process for Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html
With the latest driver version 31.0.101.3490, Intel® Arc™ Graphics Windows* DCH Driver

You may check Supported Operating Systems for Intel® Graphics Products, section Intel® Discrete Graphics for the range of validated Operating Systems on the link below

Hello gh975223,
The Intel ARC graphics card line-up does not support virtualization technologies such as GVT-G or SR-IOV.
For virtualization workloads, we recommend looking at the Intel Artic Sound solutions https://download.intel.com/newsroom/2022/corporate/vision/Intel-Arctic-Sound-M-Fact-Sheet.pdf.
Thank you for choosing Intel.
Best regards,
Luis

I was checking and would like to know if you need further assistance?
After checking the last response, I have some new recommendations that I would like you to try:
- Please do a clean installation of the graphics driver. For instructions on how to do this, check our article How to Resolve Error Code 43 for Intel® Graphics
- Make sure that you are using one of the supported operating systems for the Arc GPU. For further information, you can check our article Supported Operating Systems for Intel® Graphics Products
- Please make a report of your computer using the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*.
- For instructions on how to do this, check our article How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

Arctic sound is no use for home user due to being unavailable and likely expensive as well as not having active cooling!
The only way I have this card working is not to have monitor or dummy hdmi/dp plug in card and giving virtual machine qxl virtual graphics, games run in this odd setup which is not the case with and or Nvidia GPU!!! They use looking glass
If you email be directly I can send setup of working setup I can mess with VM but really don't want to
Aka I can backup HDD image and mess about if needed

Kernel 6.0.6-060006-generic
So your saying the intel arc a750 is not supported in vt-d? Like normal amd and Nvidia consumer GPU and probably even intel igpu?
Note as I have said I am trying to use card in this use case as the card when used as Linux GPU has serious screen corruption and when I tried to go back to that configuration it had issues of not displaying on display port screen, I find it very odd the card will not install drivers when hummy hdmi plugged in but does when no plug is plugged in

Hello gh975223,
We will continue with the discussion through the community for updates.
The problem only occurs when using headless displays on the VM environment taking into account that Intel® Arc Graphics doesn't support virtualization, so we may not provide support for it.
May I know what's the Linux host OS you use?
Best regards,
Luis A.

I already posted a reply but it not showing!
Frankly your arc a750 is beyond useless, you expect consumers to buy expensive server components that do not work in normal pc (cooling) not available in the UK!!!
There is no excuse why arc a750 cannot do sriov other than you deliberately disabled that in the firmware of the card!
And as previously stated Linux drivers are useless (Linux kernel 6.x and Mesa 22.3) due to screen corruption a d you are implying arc a750 does not support vt-d which is a blantant lie!
Your windows drivers cause code 43 when dummy hdmi plug plugged in which is the reason for daft solution of using qxl VGA as display

Hello gh975223,
Upon checking due to the reason vt-d is not supported on Intel® Arc Graphics cards and the problem happens in VM environment and Intel® Arc Graphics doesn't support virtualization, this would not be taken by the developers.
About Intel Artic Sound solutions, we are working to bring more stock across all markets as soon as possible.
