Custom resolution

I have a laptop with an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and I'm trying out custom resolutions for the internal display (1920x1080).

Intel HD Graphics Control Panel _errorMessage : "The custom resolution exceeds maximum bandwidth capacity".

Don't know what it supports, but I'd like to find out.

Appreciate your assistance...

Hi 01,

Windows 10 operating system has limited custom resolutions; Intel has included the tab for custom resolutions at graphics control panel but they will be supported if Win10 allows it.

Now, I suggest you verify if you are using the latest BIOS and main drivers (Chipset and Management Engine) provided by your PC manufacturer.

If the problem continues, send me the results of Intel® System Support Utility and brand name and model of your laptop. Also, let me know the resolution with a refresh rate that you want to get.

Hi 01,

I found the specifications of your laptop and its display has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768. It would be necessary to use an external display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or more.

Hi 01,

The 4th generation processors support 4K at 30Hz or 24Hz. I suggest you set the TV with below resolutions.

Using Display Port: 3200 x 2000 @ 60 Hz or 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz

Using HDMI: 3840 x 2160 @ 24 Hz
