Hello, I've an HP Elitebook 8460p with a 2ndGen Corei5 processor and 4GB ram.
But my dedicated video memory is 0MB. Kindly help because most of my games require at least 512MB VRAM to run well.

If you cannot set the "dedicated" video memory in the HP BIOS, then you are out of luck.

Also, if you are on Windows 10, there is no Intel driver for your 2nd gen graphics.  All you have is the Microsoft generic driver, which lacks features and performance.

Okay, so will downgrading to Windows 7 or so fix my problem?

Also, how do I change the VRAM from BIOS?

First, check your HP BIOS for the video memory setting.

You will need to ask HP about their bios settings.

I do not recommend downgrading to W7.  It is not supported.

What you really need to consider is getting modern hardware.  A new system with an 8th gen processor or later.  Then, upgrade your old games to newer versions.

Hello @Malanji

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We hope that the assistance provided by the community has been helpful. As per HP* website product specifications, we understand that the HP* EliteBook 8460p Notebook PC comes with Intel® HD Graphics 3000.

We would like to inform you that due to the Intel® HD Graphics 3000 has been discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, but perhaps fellow community members have the knowledge to jump in and help. You may also find the Discontinued Products website helpful to address your request.

Note: You might need to search for the proper Product Category and click on its "Show more" link if the product is not visible in the top rows.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Andrew G.

Wasn't the best option but I downgraded to Windows 7 and the VRAM increased to 64MB
