Hello, I have a HP envy 13 with a Intel HD Graphics 520 chipset and I am unable to turn off the adaptive auto brightness feature.
I have set all the settings in the Intel driver control panel so to disable the feature on battery and on net power, turned auto brightness of in the Windows power options control panel, but the
machine keeps on dimming the screen at will.
Settings:
This feature totally destroys my workflow and people on the HP forums are unable to help me turn this feature off.
Can somebody at Intel please help me disable this (to me at least) workflow destroying feature.
Thanks in advance, Pim
Machine configuration:
MS Windows 10 Home Anniversary Edition
Processor: I5-6200U
Graphics driver: Microsoft supplied build 20.19.15.4360

Hi Pim_Scheffers,
The feature belongs to Windows 10 operating system; I suggest you the following workaround, it might help you.
-Update Windows 10 first then, restart the computer
-Double check with Hewlett Packard website if you are using the latest BIOS and chipset driver.

-Change the power plan setting of your laptop to High Performance.
-Advance power settings on battery:
Display Brightness 100%
Dimmed Display Brightness 0%
Enable Adaptive Brightness Off
Remember to click on Apply then, Ok.
