Hi. I know this question has been asked many times, but all the possible solutions you have provided till now have been not working on my laptop. I have a Asus UX305FA, Windows 8.1 64bit, Processor Intel(R) Core (TM) M-510c CPU@ 0.80GHz 998MHz. Just yesterday, my laptop kept blacking out, freezes and then unfreeze and this message would pop up saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. I updated all the drivers but apparently I did not solve out the issue. I hope you can help me.

Here comes the dxdiag report:

This type of error has been reported at Intel and several solutions were posted at the following URL:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-009483.htm Graphics Drivers — Errors Reported By Microsoft*

When you install the latest video drivers, I recommend forcing the installation of Intel generic drivers by performing manual procedure, see here for instructions:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm Desktop graphics drivers — How to Manually Install a Driver in Microsoft Windows 8* or Windows 8.1*

Download the zip version of the video driver:

I tried all the steps you suggested and I tried to force the installation, too. It says that the driver is already up-to-date and that a new installation is not required. Do you have any other suggestion?

I also have ux305fa and identical problem. I tried manual installation, tried adding this values in registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers]

"TdrLevel"=dword:00000000

"TdrDelay"=dword:00000010

"TdrDdiDelay"=dword:00000005

"TdrDebugMode"=dword:00000003

I also tried changing available memory for GPU in BIOS, tried fresh installation of Windows 8.1, but nothing helps.

I tested RAM with "memtest86" and it doesn't show any errors.

Please give us some other solution.

Can it be a hardware problem?
