Display does not keep aspect ratio - bug in driver?

Hello,

I am using Intel's HD4000 adapter (built into i7-3770) together with old Radeon HD3450. Init display first is set to Radeon (bug in motherboard or bios does not allow changing this), but main desktop is on Intel. Main monitor (and desktop) is wide screen, but Radeon is used for s-video output at 1024x768 (second available resolution is 800x600). OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Problem. With s-video output disabled, old games shows in correct aspect ratio (4:3) with black sides. With s-video output enabled, aspect ratio is lost and image stretched to 16:9.

Using latest available HD4000 driver from download page - 9.18.10.3165 (2013.05.07). Any ideas how to fix this and preserve aspect ratio?

What is the model of the motherboard being used and the driver versions installed?

What is the software that is being used to achieve this dual-video controller configuration?

Just to confirm, there are two displays connected to to system, one through the Intel(R) HD 4000 and the other through a Radeon video card?

Gigabyte GA-Q77M-D2H (rev. 1.0). Intel HD4000 driver version 9.18.10.3165, Radeon HD3450 driver version 8.970.100.7000.

Standard Windows display configuration tool and Radeon control center for s-video adjustments.

There are three displays (as numbered in windows):

1 - VGA @ Radeon HD3450, just a display to be able to enter bios, not used

2 - S-Video TV @ Radeon HD3450

3 - DisplayPort @ Intel HD4000

The cause of the issue would be the way how the displays are connected to the system.

Using two video controllers from different manufacturers in the same system (Intel+ATI) is called switchable graphics. This allows you to get the processing benefits from one or the other.

However, for this configuration you physically connect the displays to one or the other and a third party software bypass the video processing between one or the other. So, this configuration is not designed to be using the two video cards actively and physically at the same time, even though it's working for you, this seems to be not supported by the system you are using.
