Hello. I am new here and not very technical. Recently I purchased a computer (Intel Core i7-12650H processor with an Arc A730M GPU - GDDR6 6GB). I updated the drivers for the processor and GPU using Intel's software (Intel Driver Support Assistant) but I was unable to watch high-definition video. I have returned the PC because I concluded that it will not be a fit for my needs.
Some background: I have an extensive DVD collection (standard defintion, Blu-ray, and HD). Many of my DVD purchases included a code for a digital version of the movie. To summarize, I have a video library on VUDU.com and these movies are in a HDX or UHD format. Using the new PC, I was unable to stream/view them. I was receiving an error that the format was not supported. However, my 9-year old PC can stream/play the movies perfectly.
Also, I purchased an external Blu-ray DVD player/burner (Pioneer BDR-X13U-S) and installed the latest firmware and drivers. Using the new PC and the external Blu-ray DVD player/burner, I was unable to play Blu-ray DVDs and later learned that Intel stopped supporting SGX in 11th and 12th generation chips (SGX Deprecation). However, my 9-year old PC can play Blu-ray DVDs perfectly. So, I am disappointed.
The reason for my post is to learn from the community what Intel chips and Intel GPUs will allow me to stream/play movies from my VUDU.com library that are in the HDX and UHD format. Are there certain technical specifications that are required to do this? Example HDCP is supported? Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello inkybme1
Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities. I know is important to be able to play your media library on your system, so I will be glad to share some information.
Since the laptop was returned what we can do is to share some information. In regards to HDCP and SGX Extension support, our Arc GPUs do support HDCP 2.3 more information is on this link, as for SGX extensions as you mentioned these are no longer supported in newer platforms. You can check the following article for a list of processors that support SGX:
Which Platforms Support Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) SGX2?
I would recommend that you also contact the VUDU platform support team to check for specific requirements they need on their platform to be able to stream UHD content. Other possible causes of the issue can also be DRM limitations from the browser, since some browsers can only play SD format as well depending on the content Windows might also need the HEVC extension to be installed on the system.
