Driver update on Infinix ZeroBook 13

I have an Infinix Zerobook 13, and Avast Antivirus recently notified me about multiple updates available for the laptop.

To double-check, I installed the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, which recommended installing the Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics driver (Version: 32.0.101.6881), released on June 9, 2025.

I also downloaded the official drivers for graphics, audio, network, and other components from the Carlcare website (Infinix’s support partner). These drivers were uploaded on November 21, 2025, but appear to be older versions.

Currently, my system is running the Intel graphics driver version 31.0.101.5081, which was installed through the OEM-provided software. I'm unsure whether to proceed with installing the newer Intel driver, as it might conflict with or overwrite the existing graphics software.

My question is:
Should I install the driver recommended by Intel, or stick with the one provided by Infinix?

Hi SrikanthG,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum.

When deciding whether to install the Intel-recommended graphics driver or stick with the one provided by Infinix, consider the following factors:

OEM-provided drivers, like those from Infinix, are often customized to ensure compatibility and stability with your specific hardware configuration. Installing a generic driver from Intel might lead to conflicts or issues if it doesn't fully align with your system's requirements.

Newer drivers from Intel may offer improved performance, additional features, or bug fixes that could enhance your system's capabilities. If these improvements are significant or you're having issues with your current diver, it might be worth considering the update.

In summary, if your current setup is stable and meets your needs, sticking with the OEM-provided driver might be the safer choice. However, if you're looking for specific improvements or features offered by the Intel driver, and you're comfortable with the potential risks, you could consider updating.

You may also contact your manufacturer for their recommendation or recommended driver.
