Extended Desktop mode

After switching to Extended Desktop mode so i could set my new monitor to a higher resolution, my laptop screen went all blue. Why would this be?

I would need more information in regards to your system configuration:

Which version of Windows do you have?

Also, the exact processor model and the graphics controller:

Click the Windows icon, and then right-click Computer .

Select Properties .

Find System Type on the Properties window, and then note the processor model.

Allan,

I have windows 7 on a Dell Vostro 3500, Intel (R) HD Graphics, and my processor is: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27 GHz 2.26 GHz.

2 GB (Ram)

Screen resolution on my computer is 1366 x 768. The monitor I'm running is 1920 x 1080.

Can you send a screen shot of the graphics control panel? Multi monitor settings picture would be great.
