Fan Tuning (ARC B580) Problem

Problem:
Fan curves not working: | Off | Basic | Advanced |
Temps: GPU 25c / MEM 26c
Curve: <49c 0% | >49c 30%

The problem:
OFF: Fan jumps from 0rpm to 170rpm - 700rpm Constantly and the card is only 25c.
Basic: 25c 0rpm - 700rpm
Advanced: Temp 25c Manual fan curve. Under <55c 0% >55-60c 30%(RPM Still Jumps around).
Advanced: Temp 25c Manual fan curve. Under <89c 0% >89-100c 30%(RPM Still Jumps around).
Advanced: Temp 25c Manual fan curve. 30% all the way is 1190RPM. Quite high RPM for 30%.

1. Card: Sparkle Arc B580 Titan OC Firmware (23.0.1051) (ReBar)

2. DDU / Revo has been used.

3. Everything is Updated (Windows,Drivers,Etc) - (32.0.101.6647)

I know it's still in BETA. But I hope you will look into it.

Hello MrCell,

Thank you for bringing this concern to the community's attention. To assist in investigating this issue further, please reset your graphics card to its default settings and provide a screenshot showing the behavior of the B580. Additionally, I would like to request an SSU (System Support Utility) result. However, please do not post it here; I will send you an email to request it. Lastly, could you provide the make and model of your power supply?

Regards,

Haven't touched since I made the post, waiting for the new driver update before I'll try again.

Thanks a lot John.

Shouldn't we wait a little longer before closing this thread?

Will try the new version now:_ 32.0.101.6651

Hello MrCell,

I have a few clarifications regarding this concern. You previously mentioned that it was working, could you confirm if the 6647 drivers helped resolve all issues with fan tuning? Also, how does the latest 6651 driver compare in terms of functionality? Is it performing well compared to the previous version?

Additionally, I apologize for asking about closing the thread. I only inquired because I assumed everything was working properly.

6651 Sadly same thing. Fan jumps around even when i force Zero RPM all the way to 90c.

Just found this https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-ARC-Graphics/sparkle-Intel-Arc-A310-fan-control-not-improved-in-5379-and-5382/td-p/1585389

I wonder if Sparkle will make a new bios for this card.

Hello MrCell,

I want to set clear expectations by stating that the ideal solution is for each GPU vendor to align their fan table and minimum PWM settings to ensure they do not target values lower than the designated Min PWM. In the meantime, to prevent this issue, please set the fan curve to 30% or higher in the fan control settings within Intel Graphics Software.

Additionally, I have sent you a personal email as I have created a case ticket for this thread.

Do the other brands have the same problem? Or is it just a Sparkle thing.

I'm having the same problem with Maxsun milestone model!

Interesting.

So it can be a driver issue that will be fixed or Maxsun and Sparkle are using the same fan controller chip.

Lets hope for the best.

Hello MrCell,

Intel has already shared the necessary technical specifications with the GPU vendors, empowering them to make the required adjustments. Now, it's the responsibility of the GPU vendors to ensure their fan tables and minimum PWM settings are properly aligned, avoiding any configurations below the established minimum PWM. For the best support and guidance, customers are encouraged to contact their GPU vendor directly.
