Flickering PNG image

Reproduction steps:

- DOWNLOAD and open the attached image using mspaint. Other image viewers work too but it is important that the image is not scaled in any way (the default "Photos" app does not work, nor does viewing it in my browser).

- The static PNG image appears to be flickering on the internal display.

- The issue does not appear to manifest on external displays.

Is this likely to be due to temporal dithering? If so, can you please let us disable this feature?

Platform details:

13 inch Retina MacBook Pro Mid-2014 (no NVIDIA GPU) running Windows natively via Boot Camp.

Windows 10 15063.413.

Intel(R) Iris(TM) Graphics 5100

Driver version: 20.19.15.4624 / 15.40.34.4624

All good here.

Some people are sensitive to "pulse width modulation".

Hello paul.t,

Thank you for contacting the Intel community.

I can see that you have the Apple computer Apple MacBook Pro Mid-2014, I'm sorry Apple has requested that all questions regarding Apple systems and software be addressed directly with Apple support. I recommend checking the link below for troubleshooting assistance on your Apple computer:

Hi Ivan,

This issue is not limited to Apple laptops. E.g. I can also report flickering (slightly less intense, but it is still fairly obvious) on the Surface 3 (not Pro). I can also try to test other laptops soon if that is helpful.

Are you able to reproduce on any laptops that you have?

Is your issue similar to the one posted by Stefan3D above?

Hi Ivan,

No. This is a visual flickering/simmering, as confirmed by multiple people that I have shown it to. I have even managed to record this flickering using my phone's slowmo mode. (Although slowmo is not necessary to see it; it just makes it even more obvious.)

Thank you for the information; however, the issue related to you Apple system you need tor reported to Apple, this is something that Apple has requested.

If you have another system with different model you can open a new thread related to that specific system so we can start an investigation.
