Can't watch blu ray DVDs using powerDVD 13 (or 16) and Windows 10. The message says I need update GPU driver. The tech I talked to at OmniTech said I need a GPU driver update, but none existed. Can anyone help?

Ivan:
I may not have been clear; my blu-ray DVDs still don't work, but my regular DVDs (without blu-ray) are working fine. I put up my original post about my regular DVDs not working, from a message when I got from Cyberlink saying something like that it couldn't read because I was missing something. So I tried the DVD in my regular, not- computer player and it played just fine. That's when I posted about regular DVDs not working either.
Then I inadvertently tried the same regular DVD on my computer again, and it started working fine. That's when I posted I'd made an error, and regular DVDs worked fine also.
In other words, I didn't do anything. I hope I'm clearer this time.
Glad you asked,
Jim.

Thank you for clearing that up, please try downloading the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Update-Utility Intel® driver update utility to see if there is a new graphics driver that can be updated.
Also, I will appreciate if you could download the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility Intel SSU (System Support Utility), install it in your system and run it. See steps below.
Download the utility
Run the exe and select 'Scan'
Save and include as an attachment in the Intel Community Forum

1. There's a chipset available, but not knowing what that is, I didn't download it.. That's all that presented itself.
2. I have a SSU file in my documents, but don't know to what specific address I attach it.
Thanks;
Jim

For you to attach the SSU file just click reply, then on the right top corner click "Use Advance editor" and you can attach the file, on the right button corner you will see the attach option.

I was trying to find the latest driver for you but unfortunately there is no drivers available for Windows 10 based on this processor graphics, please see http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005526.html Supported Operating Systems for Intel® Graphics Products
Try to run Windows update to see if you can find any drivers.

I thank you for exploring my question. As I doubt I'm the only person with an Inspiron 17 N7010, Windows 10, and a question about blu-ray, I'm going to pose the question further to Microsoft and Dell. Fortunately, I have a small screen, and I don't see that much difference between regular DVDs and blu-ray DVDs. But, I'd like to know why.
Thanks again;
Jim Williams
