Graphics Control Panel Right-Click Menu causes Windows Explorer Memory Leak!

Hello,

As you see in the video,

Everytime I right-Click with mouse the memory Usage for Windows Explorer increases. This is caused by either the Intel Graphics Control Panel or the NVIDIA Control Panel Context menu, but I disable the NVIDIA Control Panel context menu and the issue goes. But I would like to keep both the Intel and NVIDIA Right-Click context menu without having this memory leak issue..

So is there a fix to this please?

By the way, this is NVIDIA GT 630M version 340.52 and Intel version 10.18.10.3621

Did you try a complete uninstall and reinstall of Intel® HD Graphics?

I just updated to 10.18.10.3621 and I do not see this happening with the system I have here but I may need to update NVIDIA* graphics driver.

In regards of the second issue you mentioned, I believe that a clean boot can be helpful in determining the cause.

I have re-installed Windows many times and I don't have any right-click context menus except those of Intel and nVIDIA and still get the issue.

It happened with both Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

When I remove the nVIDIA right-click context, the issue goes. I haven't tried to remove the Intel context menu....

But I prefer to not remove the graphics context menu.

Is it possible to identify the process behind the memory leak? Perhaps with the task manager or resource monitor.

It's "explorer.exe".

I would strongly recommend using the graphics drivers supplied by Dell for your system and not the generic Intel HD Graphics drivers. Dell uses highly customized Intel HD Graphics drivers for their systems that are customized specifically for each model. When you use generic drivers you will loose all the customizations in the driver specific to your system which may result in unintended issues with performance, power management, display characteristics, etc.

I identified the cause of the problem.

See in the picture above, this is the look of Right-Clicks menus of Intel Graphics when I install the driver version "10.18.10.3277" downloaded from the DELL site.

Notice, there is a considerable space between the picture of Intel logo and the word "خصائص الرسوم" "Graphics Properties"

Now see when I install any of the latest drivers from your site.

See the difference?! There is no any space between the Intel logo and the "Graphics Properties" word nor a space between each Right-Click word. That's why it causes "Windows Explorer" to increase its Memory Usage every right click any where.

So please can you tell me if I can make this myself, make a space like I described for the latest Intel driver.

Is that what you meany by DELL customize the Intel Graphics driver for their system? So you mean they customize it to make a space like that so it doesn't cause memory leak after each click?
