Graphics driver update won't install

Product Detected Intel® HD Graphics 4000

Current Driver Installed 10.18.10.3345

Newer Driver Available: 15.33.18.64.3496 (10.18.10.3496)

I'm trying to install the update, for my 64 bit win7 Samsung series9 laptop, but even when I try installing the update as admin, it says:This operating system is not supported. Or the update fails to install roughly at 80%

Hi jmcmillen,

I am sorry you are having problems installing the driver but let me help you with this.

Based on the information you have provided, I recommend you doing the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the current driver. Here you have some instructions:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm

  1. Download the latest driver for your graphics controller at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23714 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23714

If you get a notification message during the installation, it indicates that your computer manufacturer does not allow the installation of generic Intel video drives. You are required to install drivers from your computer manufacturer.

You may try to force the installation of Intel generic drivers by performing manual procedure, see here for instructions:

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm

Here is the zip version of the video driver:

Hello, I have tried to update my graphics via Desktop>Right Click>Graphics Properties>Help and Support>Update.... and then went to your website and says I have 9.17 and the latest was 15.something... so I downloaded it and installed and restarted my laptop. After that when I check my Information Tab on the Intel properties it says my driver installed is 9.17 and when I checked on your website it says I have the latest drivers.. should it be like 15.something version not 9.17? or is it normal? help?

In fact the driver packet are the first numbers of the driver but the driver version are in fact the last 4 digits so it should say 3496 if you have that version.

In any case, we have released another driver (latest). If you want to download it and try it is here:
