HD 3000 card allows custom of 1920x1080, refresh @ 90hz with timing standard CVT-RB. Any possibility of damaging graphics card or monitor? I just noticed even if graphics card is set to 90hz my Sony AVR is probably limiting refresh rate at 60hz.

Typically, the package will not allow any refresh rates that are not also supported by the monitor connected. I have, however, seen cases where the monitor reports this incorrectly. Just my opinion, but I would stick with 60Hz unless you can verify that the monitor (and any other devices in the chain) supports it.

Hope this helps,
