Hello panicman,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
We appreciate the report provided and we would like you to try a clean installation of the latest driver we have available for your graphics; however, please bear in mind that our drivers are generic which means that they don’t come with any customizations for your system and, since your computer is considered an OEM(original equipment manufacturer) system, the recommended drivers you can get for it are the ones from Lenovo’s website since they come with customizations that might be needed so the laptop can function as it’s supposed to. Please test the computer with both drivers to see which one allows you to fix your issue.
Important note: Based on the report you provided it seems that you are running this computer with Windows 7, you need to bear in mind that both our drivers and Lenovo’s drivers work only on Windows 10 so, I would highly recommend you to update the computer before trying to install any other drivers, also just so you know that operating system is no longer supported even by Microsoft itself so it will be fair to say that your best option will be to complete the updates needed for windows 10.
Latest generic driver

Latest OEM driver
Note: To find the driver follow this path Manual update > Display and Video Graphics > Intel VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Lenovo G40-70, G50-70.
Instructions

Note: These instructions work with both drivers
I look forward to hearing from you.

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Download, run, and save the results of this utility as a text file:

Then ATTACH the text file using the instructions under the reply window ( Drag and drop here or browse files to attach ).
