High Latency with Citrix Workspace

Hello,

I recently purchased an Asus Zenbook Duo UX8406MA with the latest Intel Arc graphics driver. I use Citrix Workspace for work, but since I purchased this laptop, all I experience are high latency within the virtual desktop.

I've read forums to download previous graphics driver, but I only receive the error message "exit code 8." I'm pretty certain Asus placed a restriction on installing legacy hardware due to the dual monitor set up.

I've reached out to Asus for a solution, but was instructed to redirect my question to Intel. I've also disabled the graphics card and Citrix Workspace runs smoothly, but at the expense of losing my dual monitor, which is the sole purpose of getting this laptop. Please advise.

Hi VexoMoth,

for me, the solution is to use the driver Intel Corporation version 32.0.101.6078 and Citrix Workspace 2405 version 24.5.11.31

and without enabled bluetooth, so the VDI session are now fine OK all apps are working fine now ( WEBEX, Teams, ZOOM )

But yes it takes a lot time and also several discussions with Leonovo, Intel and Microsoft to find the correct driver.

Ahhhh..... if you need to use bluetooth devices so use bluetooth dongles, this works 🙂

Kind regards

Sigi

This issue has been resolved: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000097751/graphics.html
Upgrading the ARC-driver from 32.0.101.5590 to 32.0.101.5971 immediately amended the situation for me.

Do you still find this is resolved? I still am finding performance is much better with hardware acceleration disabled. The driver is definitely an improvement but I would not say it is back to normal. I need to scale resolution to get it to function well.

@sandler777 No it's still the same, in the meanwhile Microsoft comes also with a windows driver update, but this driver is also not good. I think we must wait till Intel comes with an propper solution

Hi all, we have the same issue reg. the graphic cards, I using now the older version ( intel-arc-and-iris-xe-graphics-windows-dch-driver-31-0-101-4887 ) and all things are fine so far, but if you are using the internal bluetooth device to the same time you will receive a realy bad quality reg. sound and microphone for this I disable bluetooth and I'm using now the bluetooth adapater from Jabra, that's ok so far
