I have an Intel DG965WH motherboard with the ICH8R controller. It's currently running a rebuild on a RAID 5 array of three 1TB drives. Altogether, it's looking like this is going to take about two days to do. That's extremely slow. I'm not really comfortable having a degraded array sitting out there for that long.
Is there any way I can increase the priority of the rebuild task? My CPU utilization (Core 2 Duo E6600) is only about 4% so it doesn't seem like this job is being treated as a high priority like it should be, IMHO.

I think it isn't the Core 2 Duo processor who's math power is used to rebuild. I think it's a onboard small chip or something...
