INTEL ARC B580 LOW PERFORMANCE

MY SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS i5 14400F – 16GB RAM – Intel Arc B580 graphics card – Windows 11

The FPS is very low. My friend has the same graphics card and gets a higher FPS. Is there an FPS limit on the card? Why is it like this?

Hello ceoyvz,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  1. When does the issue start to occur?
  2. How long has the system been working properly?
  3.  Did you perform a clean driver installation using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) when updating to version 32.0.101.8974 (WHQL Certified)?
  4. What is the name of the game or games where you are experiencing the low FPS, and does this happen in all games or only specific titles?
  5. Where did you download the game from (Steam, Epic Games, etc.)? May I know the game version?
  6. Is Resizable BAR enabled in your BIOS?
  7. What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
  8. May I know the exact make, model, and wattage of your PSU?
  9. Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files?
  10. Is this an Intel-branded card or a third-party card?
  11. Please run the Intel System Support Utility (SSU) and attach the report for system diagnostics:
    • Download link: Intel SSU Tool
    • After downloading, open the tool, run a scan (leave default options), click Next, then save the results as a .txt file, and attach it in your reply.
      • Please note: While generating the SSU report, kindly uncheck the “Networking” option.

Hello ceoyvz,

Thank you for getting back to me.

To help us reproduce and investigate the issue, could you please provide the following information?

The in-game settings you are currently using

A CapFrameX capture from a session in which the issue occurs

The name of the game you would like us to prioritize during our investigation

About CapFrameX

This is a 3rd party tool for frametimes capture and analysis based on Intel's PresentMon. The overlay is provided by Rivatuner Statistics Server (RTSS).

CapFrameX Installation instructions:

  1. Go to https://www.capframex.com/download and download the latest version of CapframeX.
  2. Go to https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download.html and download the latest version of RTSS.
  3. Unzip both installers and install them.
  4. Launch CapFrameX and then close it. This is so it creates the user Configuration folder.
  5. Download and unzip the file OverlayEntryConfiguration_0.json (attached in this post) with the recommended RTSS configuration.
  6. Paste this file to %userprofile%\Documents\CapFrameX\Configuration.
  7. In the Capture tab, set the "Capture time" to 0. This is to remove the preset limit in capture time.
  8. In the Overlay tab, uncheck "Auto-Disable OSD" and click the save icon.

Capturing the Performance Data:

  1. Open CapframeX and do NOT minimize or close it.
  2. Open the game and go to the part of the game you need to be to reproduce the issue. You should see the RTSS overlay in the top left corner of your screen, with the status "<game name> ready to capture…".
  3. Press F11 to start capturing data and reproduce the issue. The Status in the overlay will change to "Recording frametimes XX s".
  4. Once you have reproduced the issue, press F11 to finish the data capturing. The Status in the overlay will change to "Processing data".
  5. Back to CapFrameX, you can find all the data captures in the left panel of the Analysis tab. Clicking any one of these captures will display the results on the right.
  6. To export the data captured as a JSON file, right click the capture and click on "Copy/paste recording file(s)".

Best regards,
