Hi,
I wanted to expand my understanding of how integrated and dedicated graphics cards work. Do both use PCI-E in order to work? and if not, what is the PCI-E used for?

Intel® HD Graphics is embedded in the Intel® processor die while the dedicated graphics card works through the PCI Express interface.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I will be getting a 5770T. Will the Integrated Graphics with a Dedicated one be useless?

It will depend on how the graphics controllers are integrated by the system manufacturer, some systems use switchable graphics while others will only use the discrete graphics controller.
