Intel 3000 HD Graphics card shows black screen after loading Windows 8

Guys, has anyone seen a problem with their laptop showing a black screen after upgrading to windows 8, I'm running the Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card. In order to get the screen back I have to reboot the laptop into Safe Mode and disable the HD Graphics card. I've tried loading the latest drivers, but that does not help. Does anyone have any ideals on solving this issue?

I have the same problem... i can get into windows by pressing the power button, going into standby mode - then waking it up... this however is not a permanent solution. I deleted the driver from the device manager and then it loads up fine, but as soon as windows 8 restarts the driver is reinstalled and the problem is back. Please advise urgently
