Intel Arc A770 VR Support?

Hi there so I see back in January of 2024 someone asked about VR support with the A770 card and got some vague response about work towards that evolving. It's 11 months later...any idea when we are getting VR support? I got a Quest 3 and still can't even use it with my Steam account thanks to this GLARING oversight regarding a very standard requirement of a graphics card to allow VR to work. How is this not a bigger issue?

Hi Booker8488,

Currently, the Intel Arc graphics card offers limited VR support. Although Intel is actively enhancing their drivers and software. The support for VR headsets is gradually improving as Intel continues to develop their products and update their software stack.

Its been almost a year since your posting, I recently purchased a Laptop with an Intel core Ultra 7  and an Intel Arc 140V GPU 16Gb, surely that's juicy enough to support the Quest 3 in Link mode, but it says your graphics are incompatible. Are you sorting this out or are you simply brushing it aside?

Hi, we are all in the same boat, I bought the GPU like 2 years ago and shortly after I bought the Quest 3 and until now I can't use Steam Link or Quest Link and the only way I found to use VR in MSFS 2020 was Virtual Desktop but it has some limitations such as controls in the cockpit and more. It's a shame that INTEl is so bad and not only in GPUs unfortunately is bad in all their products and also with poor support. So I have already given up and I am just waiting for the Nvidia 50 series or the AMD 9700 series to stabilize and it is time to change brands despite having all Intel in my PC.

Annoying, I guess its time to move on, I can use the new Windows 11 feature at least, just means I can't play any of my Windows VR games anymore...One day everything will be standardised....

Hi there,

How is it possible that after 2 years of the release of intel gpu such as arc a770 we are still asking and asking for support for it to work well with our hardware and software. Now I just bought a Quest 3 and nothing works because of the GPU, I can't use Remote Desktop with mixed reality windwos 11, I can't link the headset with oculus quest, I can't play MSFS 2020 due to the incompatible GPU, and nothing that has to do with VR (Virtual Reality) is not compatible, so what is happening with intel and they partners that do not allow us to use their products as they should be, and they continue to release new products INCOMPATIBLE with everything that some of us want to use.
Please INTEl should be aware that if you want to compete with the best (NVIDIA & AMD) you have to be better than them, otherwise people like me and a lot of people will stop buying your products and look for better options.

Hi everyone, whenever Intel releases a new driver, and today is one of those days, I hope they've fixed or developed compatibility with virtual reality, especially with the Quest 3. But so far, nothing, is a shame because the card works fine, but it's not compatible with Steamlink and Questlink. I hope the people at Intel take pity on VR and help all of us who have the Quest VR headsets.
