Hello
I heard that many DP cables in the market are not properly made:
They should have made pin 20 as dummy by VESA standard, but they haven't, leading to power backdrive from monitor to GPU when computer is off.
People say this can damage GPU permanently. Some says GPU manufacturers have anticipated this so recent GPU won't get damaged from DP cables with pin 20 intact.
Is this the case for Intel Arc GPU? Can DP cable with pin 20 alive still damage Arc GPU?
Thank you
