Intel Arc on VMware

Hi,

 

Its been a while.  I'm back writing some new encoder/decoder impls for Intel inside our software stack.  Think I originally posted this on the wrong forum, so it go no eyeballs.

 

After reading this support article, my understanding is Intel Arc cards can be passed-through on VMware and QuickSync/OneAPI facilities can thereby be used inside the VM for video encode/decode.  Is that correct?  I have struggled with my NVIDIA impl in this regard.  I don't think consumer card (GeForce) passthrough is fully supported.  At least I keep getting a code 43 from it, so I'm looking for an alternative in consumer card price range to ship with our products.
