Intel Celeron J3455 with Intel HD Graphics 500 - Graphics APIs version

Hi,

I own a mini-pc with an Intel Celeron J3455 / Intel HD Graphics 500.

GPU Caps Viewer shows me some informations about the graphics APIs and the version:

Driver: 23.20.16.4849

Vulkan API 1.0.0 - GPU0: Intel(R) HD Graphics 500

OpenGL 4.5 (Intel(R) HD Graphics 500 with 243 ext.)

OpenCL 1.2, Intel(R) HD Graphics 500 compute units:12@750MH

Would it be possible for the Intel Graphics team to lift the version for the OpenCL to 2.x with the next driver update?

Cheers

There is already a new driver 4877 you can try: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27355/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=96553 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.60]

Unfortunately https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005524/graphics-drivers.html Supported APIs and Features for Intel® Graphics Drivers still reads OpenCL 1.2 for Apollo Lake

Thanks for the info about the newer driver, it's not mentioned in Support Community > Graphics

As of the link, well, it says OpenGL 4.2, but as I provided the GPU Caps Viewer infos, it is at OpenGL 4.5

I believe, that the Intel HD Graphics 500 could do OpenCL 2.x

At https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_HD_and_Iris_Graphics Intel HD and Iris Graphics - Wikipedia you can see the Intel HD Graphics 500 at row Goldmont with API versions:

Windows: Vulkan 1.0, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 2.0

And: OpenCL 2.1 and 2.2 possible with software Update on OpenCL 2.0 Hardware (Broadwell+) with Future software updates

So it should be possible, it's up to the Intel Graphics team to make a new driver.

Cheers
