Intel Compatible With Free Sync?

I recently bought an HP Pavilion 15, and now I am looking for a monitor to go with it.

I am wondering if Intel products are compatible with the common anti-tearing module Free Sync.

On this laptop, the CPU, and GPU are Intel products.

Specs of laptop:

Intel iCore 7, 11th generation

16 GB RAM

Intel Iris Xe

When I searched the internet for a conclusive answer, it remained elusive. It seems that compatibility a few years ago would come in the 'future'?

I am thinking of getting this Lenovo monitor:

Thanks so much!

P.S had no clue what to label this! (:

Hello Slab7392,

The 11th generation processors support Adaptive Sync (FreeSync is the same tech under different name) and it is supported on DisplayPort connection.

Please check the following article for further information: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057266/graphics.html

In this 2015 PC world article, the title reads, “Free Sync gets a friend: Future Intel CPUs will support Adaptive-Sync standard

This was 2015 though, and when is the “future”?

This is important to know as I am wondering if my non-gaming computer can run this 165hz monitor if Free Sync does work with Intel.
