Hello,

I've been having this issue since I reset my laptop where my Windows Update continues to fail: Intel Corporation - Display - 26.20.100.7463 (Install Error - 0x80070103)

There is another update that is similar Intel Corporation - Extension - 26.20.100.7463 that works fine and shows as completed.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Used DDU to uninstall the drivers. (Doing the uninstall through Safe Mode)
  • Reinstalled the drivers via the intel webpage.
  • Attempted the Windows update again.

I tried this process twice, with no luck. The steps I used came from this thread.

Device Specifications:

  • Manufacturer: Razor
  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz
  • Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
  • System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Display Adapters:

  • Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with Max-Q Design (I've had no problem with driver installation for this)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Driver 26.20.100.7463 is an old driver (dated Nov 2019) not compatible with your system. It is an error in Windows in Microsoft Update Catalog.

I suggest, that you should hide this update, using Microsoft wushowhide.diagcab tool.

Once this update is hidden, reinstall the last driver

I followed the steps to hide the update, but after restarting the device the update is still located in my Windows Updates section. I'll attach a screenshot to showcase it is hidden while also still showing.
