Press and hold the Windows key, then press the R key ("Run") and type: devmgmt.msc

Expand the Display adapters category. Right-click on the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 entry and select Update Driver Software... from the context menu

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, then select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

Select Microsoft Basic Display Adapter from the list of available drivers and select Next, then Close

Download and install the latest generic Intel driver (.exe package) available https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000 here
