Intel Graphics HD 530 screen jitter problem

Hello,

Here is my config for this problem:

-Intel Graphics HD 530 on Intel Core i5-6500 CPU

-Graphics driver 20.19.15.4501 & with driver 20.19.15.4474 before

-OS Windows 10 14393.321

-Screen Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW used with native resolution 1680x1050 60Hz

-Screen connection: HDMI with a DVI-D dongle and with DP to DVI-D cable before

-Intel Graphics Power Plan is maximum performance & adaptive luminosity is disabled

Symptoms:

The screen stutter happens every few seconds.

Remark:

If the Intel Graphics Control Panel is opened and is displayed in the desktop foreground, the stutter stops and restart as soon as the control panel goes to the background or is closed. I don't know if it is related or coincidental, but at least it is repetable.

Is-it a known problem or a solved one ? Are-there known mitigations?

Regards,

Hello @Seb_M ,

Thank you for joining the Intel Communities!

We haven't seen this issue as recurrent with this graphics adapter, but lets gather up some information as well as troubleshoot the issue in order to look for a solution/source of the problem.

First, please provide me with the Intel SSU report from your system, this will provide plenty of useful information for me to better assist you with this.

How can you get the report?

-Access: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

-Download the utility

-Scan your system with the utility

-Export the report (hit next and then save) and attach it to your answer with the advanced editor option (reply button and then check upper right corner)

Some troubleshooting that you can perform.

1. Test the system with a straight connection (HDMI to HDMI or DVI to DIV, DP to DP, no adapters in the middle)

Note:

-Adapters can affect the signal sent from one end to the other, for that reason I don't actively recommend using adapters.

-In case there is the need or requirement to use an adapter, the best possible option is using an active adapter, which is powered and has "chip" dedicated to transmitting the signal properly from one end to the other.

2. Update the graphics drivers to:

Beta 15.40.xx.4539 // http://intel.ly/2dD3t5y http://intel.ly/2dD3t5y

or

Beta 15.40.xx.4530 // http://intel.ly/2e3XWDU http://intel.ly/2e3XWDU

Note: ** It would be good to completely remove the graphics driver every time new drivers are going to be installed in the system.

This can be done in the device manager, right click on the display adapter (Intel HD Graphics 530) hit properties, driver tab, uninstall and make sure the "Delete the driver software for this device" check is marked.

Please let me know how it goes. If additional inquiries are present feel free to let me know as well
