The laptop came with Windows 10 pre-installed. The intel graphics card is Intel(R) HD graphics 530. The driver cannot be updated- tried that I just get an error messge saying its not validated for install on my computer and the set up closes. Randomly the driver crashes and I get an error messge saying the Intel Windows 8 driver has crashed and been recovered and the screen looks weird. Clicking on whatever program was running in the task bar puts the screen back to normal- its different programs different times so no pattern there. Any solutions?

Hi,
Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
Please try downloading and installing the latest Beta driver, you can download it here:

Please be aware that Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to your driver. Intel recommends you contact your computer manufacturer for the latest system specific updates and technical support information.

Note: Once you install the "generic" driver you will overwrite any customizations your system manufacturer made to the driver specific for your system model.
Best wishes,
Ivan
