Intel HD 4000 displayport hdmi problem

Hello,

I want to use my notebook's displayport output. So i bought a displayport to hdmi converter, but my notebook doesn"t recognise my tv or monitor device.

There is an Intel HD 4000 grapics card in my notebook.

What should I do?
