Description
Provide a detailed description of the issue
Display will occasionally blink on and off even though the power LED to the monitor remains on. At first I thought this was an issue when doing more graphics intensive work like running Photoshop, but it happens at least once per day regardless of what I am running. It has even occurred when simply trying to reboot.Turning the monitor off and on fixes it until it happens again. Nothing registers in the Windows Application or System event logs when the flashing happens.Please place an X to the right of the option showing how often you see this issue using specific steps. (Ex: 'Every few times a game is started it flickers.' <- This would be "Often")<p>

Issue occured using two different (new) DisplayPort cables as well as an HDMI cable. DP is our preference for the machine but the input doesn't appear to matter.

not the display here, this display works fine with my dedicated gpu, the flickering however happens on all displays.

Also if you look at Post # 2 (second reply to the OP) I attached some additional images capturing a second symptom of the issue. Those are very clearly graphics problems as they are corrupted images isolated within a single Window / Program.
I have installed the latest Driver (x.4463) from your prior post, Esteban, and am trying that out. Fingers crossed!

Found it's happening in Windows 7 now so not sure what I did last time to get rid of it, weird, but can't test the new driver as I moved to linux where it flickers at first a few times but then works fine. OP do you have a linux live USB or CD to test out to see if it still happens in that?

You can post your inquiry with Linux there to get further information from peers that are familiar with this OS, another option would be to seek for a thread that has similarities with your case and check the troubleshooting there.
If you have the chance to test this out with the 4474 in Windows, please provide us with some feedback.
JDMWDC , please let us know how it went with 4463 when you have the chance

That guy had 290X, and now with gtx 1080 has the same problem.

Issue is fixed for me on all OS, found out what it was, my RAM is rated at 3200Mhz.... on Intel HD graphics I can only run it at 2133mhz

My ram is also 3200 ... I think there is something else there. If your ram is 3200 you should enable XMP. On XMP some voltages for the CPU will be changed. Some of those voltages involve igpu also. Some mainboards have problems on setting the right voltages. I don't know what is your mainboard model and manufacturer, but it maybe possible that with the latest bios and XMP enebled your problem to be fixed.

Yes I know about XMP and I did have them enabled and double checked the voltages to be sure, maybe it's a problem with my specific motherboard (Asrock Z170A-X1/3.1) my RAM works fine at 3200mhz with a dedicated graphics card but if I enable the XMP profiles without one sometimes it doesn't give my display output during boot but they released a bios update just recently so I'll try that and test with the new driver and get back to you, not sure when that will be though probably sometime over the next few days.

This is HWiNFO voltages for XMP memory with timings 16-18-18-36 :
If you have the memory with similar timings the you should watch in bios and obtain almost the same voltages if they are different.

The voltages you should look for are VCCSA, VCCIO, DDR, PCH +1.0

Appreciate the suggestions but I just updated bios, installed latest intel driver, tried all those voltages and more and literally nothing will work for me at 3200mhz without a discrete card, it won't even get past post! the Sky X boost OC was the only way it would work and that only enables with a dedicated card maybe I'll upgrade my mobo sometime in the future and won't be going with Asrock, shame my GTX 970 died.

If it doesn't even boot when you set memory to XMP you need to increase VCCIO to 1.160V .

Tried that... I think it rounds it up to 1.2 or down to 1.15 but I tried 1.3 and 1.1 as well and still nothing.

GOT IT WORKING WITH XMP PROFILES!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! AT 3200MHZ NOW LOL IT WAS the GT voltage that was missing from this I set that to +110mhz
VCCSA Voltage = 1.1
VCCIO Voltage = 1.1
GT Voltage = +1.1 = +110mhz
PCH+1.0V = 1.1
Gave me an extra 10-20FPS to my max framerate in CSGO lol and no flickering

Well took you long time, but it's good that you fixed it And yes increasing memory frequency gives you some boost in fps
So after all that mainboard is not so bad

Not sure who marked that as the "correct answer." He is quite clearly having a different problem than the original post...
I installed the latest driver and due to personal leave was unable to continue testing for a few weeks. I am back and still running tests on my machine to see if that resolved it.

But did you try the solution of tweaking your voltages? I watched your video and it looks VERY similar / identical to the issue I was having.
It could be something else but just wondering if you tried it? just trying to help.
What speed does your RAM run at? A full list of your hardware details may help too.
