I have the exact same problem and same Laptop from msi (https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GE62-6QF-Apache-Pro.html# hero-overview GE64 6QF Apache Pro) with an Intel HD Graphics 530 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics card. After I updated the Intel HD 530 graphics driver to the latest driver (22.20.16.4771) my laptop when waking up from sleep mode has a distorted screen, the same that ThDarker posted picture. The only way to fix it is to reboot the laptop. Also I should note that the backlit keyboard does not turn off when in sleep mode. It did before the driver update.

UPDATE 9/3/2017

I applied the above driver (20.19.15.4300) and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Hello ThDarker,

Thank you for joining the Intel® community. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with this driver.

I would like to know if you are able to boot to Windows® 10, if yes I would like to request a test with the proper driver for your particular model which is http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/vga/VGA_win64_20.19.15.4300_0x00e3ad01.zip http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/vga/VGA_win64_20.19.15.4300_0x00e3ad01.zip.

Thank you.

Regards,

Today I have the exact same problem on my AIO computers wich have G3900 processor (HD Graphics 510). One is Lenovo M900z Windows 10 1703 x64. In this case when computer returned from sleep mode display was still black. The second computer is Zoneo Pantom Windows 10 1703 x64 (mainboard MSI H110M ECO). In this case I had this same effect as ThDarker. After that i downgrade driver to version 21.20.16.4541 and now I haven't problem. Works ok.

Hi same here since months in every MS Windows 10 Insider preview. Every included "latest" Intel 22.xx wont work with HD530. Only a rollback to a to very old version 21.xx solved the flackering resume from sleep.

Today i updatet my Windows 10 Pro x64 PC to the latest (Final) Fall Creators Update. But is has the same Bug as for months.

I think Intel wont fix anymore the older HD530. But now now after the Fall Creators update the 21.xx version does not work anymore for a rollback. And now?

Now i uninstall the Intel driver and get the Standard MS Driver . This seems work. name 20.19.15.4624 from 03/08//17

We have just started experiencing this problem over the past week. Downloading previous drivers now, as instructed in the comments. Hopefully it will correct the issue.

I have the exact same problem, here are the details in regard to my system, other people can use CPU-Z to get system information from https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html to help fix the problem quickly. I don't want to use old driver because i need opengl4.5 support(great to see it,since you support vulkan, do you have plan for gl4.6 support?)

Exact same problem here on my Dell desktop Inspiron 3650. Rolled back driver through control panel to 21.20.16.4542 and now can 'sleep' properly. Hopefully windows update won't force me to update back to the new problematic version 22.20.16.4771.
