So after the recent windows update that happened last night I would put the computer to sleep and end up with a flashing white vertical lines alternating with a black with a white lineish thinge on top of the screen upon wake resulting me needing a hard restart to resume.
upon reboot computer works fine until next sleep cycle.
I rolled back the Intel graphics drivers to the previous version to fix.

This is a known bug for your driver version .4771. (See old thread: /thread/116427 https://communities.intel.com/thread/116427.)
You have to update the driver to the latest version: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27412/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60- Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.60].
Maybe you have to check the HP support website for the latest driver. (A BIOS update helped many people also.)
