Intel HD Graphics 530 OpenGL Error

Every time I attempt to launch a game such as Starbound or City of Heroes: Homecoming, I receive an error message that says I don't have any OpenGL drivers installed on my graphics card. Which is odd, considering I've run OpenGL Extensions viewer that says I have OpenGL 4.6 installed and am more than capable of running it since the benchmark test results say that it can run at 889.833 FPS. I'm not sure what to do to fix this issue, I've updated and reinstalled my drivers to the latest version to no avail, as the programs will keep giving me the error message that I don't have any OpenGL drivers installed. Is there a file I'm missing or anything like that?

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

[Maybe Windows 12 will be better]

Used the Intel System Support Utility. Hope it helps, because I haven't the slightest idea on how to fix this driver error.

Hello BTWyvern,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Could you please provide a screenshot of the error message?
  • Can you confirm this issue happens on multiple or all installed games?
  • When did the issue start? Were you able to open the games before?

As well, please update the graphics driver to the latest version available. Perform a clean installation of the driver by following the steps in this article: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html
