Intel HD4000 Driver update Old version

I am trying to update my graphics card to the newest driver. I have downloaded the .zip form of win64_153322, the 15.33.22.64.3621 driver for windows 8.1 x64. windows insisted that I already had the most recent driver installed, and I had to uninstall all previous drivers down to the basic windows version to get it to install. Now I notice that the installed driver version is 10.18.10.3304. is this correct? is this the latest driver for the HD4000 on windows 8.1 x64???

Thanks

Hi Errold

It appears that after you did the uninstall Windows installed the latest it had in the driver cache. Try installing the following.

64 bit version

Thanks

Unfortunately, Windows still insists that I have the most recent driver installed when using the above link and the manual driver install. it's weird that I have to install the driver manually, since I did not get the the "driver is not validated for this system" message in the past. weird.

I actually just got it to work by explicitly using the "Have Disk" Method. When the inf was selected, windows went ahead and completed the install.

Thanks
