Intel HD4600 DVI problem

Hi,

i'm having issues with my onboard Intel HD4600 graphics and its DVI output. The DVI output doesn't work properly: If my monitor (LG W2453) is connected via DVI, i get a black screen when booting up my computer and the monitor enters standby mode, because it says there's no signal. If i connect the monitor with VGA output, everything works fine. Also, i can switch from VGA to DVI connection, when the PC is already booted. So basically DVI is working, but only until the next restart or until I enter standby mode and turn the PC on again. Then the monitor again can't find a DVI signal.

Here's my hardware:

Intel Core-i5 4460

ASRock H87M Pro4

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600

LG W2453 (directly connected to onboard DVI output)

I'm using Windows 8.1 64Bit. The graphics driver is updated to the latest version just as my mainboard's BIOS (UEFI). I already tried several other DVI cables, but there was no improvement.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Fry12,

It is necessary to narrow down the issue. Verify if your motherboard is using the latest BIOS version 2.60 then, update your operating system. Restart the system and check in BIOS if Primary Video is set to "Auto". (DVI and HDMI)

If problem continues download and run our tool Intel® System Support Utility and send to me the results.

Version: 2.0
