As the header says - connecting an external display to my laptop its set as the old display. The new display is a 27" Samsung but is seen as the old 22" samsung display. As the display area is set to the old 22" the new dispaly's area isnt used - two balck bars in each side and a not so clear picture..

Old Display name is seen in both resolution and Intel Graphics Controlpanel - how do I delete it ??

Hi Ronni,

Before changing graphics control panel settings, I suggest you to verify if you already have the latest BIOS version, latest Chipset, Management Engine and graphics drivers.

The newest drivers are available on your motherboard manufacturer support website.

Get into Intel® HD graphics control panel, select Display and check if Select Display option recognizes properly both displays. Try to change the resolution.

Regards,
