Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics - Error with BenQ WDC 0

Hello, when I connect a Button Host to a PC equipped with an Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics card, the screen keeps turning on and off, and we can see the following errors in the Windows Event Viewer:

{"category":"Igcl","level":"Error","message":"3rd Party - IGCL ctlInit - Exception"}

{"category":"Igcl","level":"Error","message":"ctlInit, result=1073741825"}

We are using version 32.0.101.7084 for the graphics drivers.

With PCs equipped with a different Intel Graphics card, we do not have this problem.

Hello CP61,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

To get a better understanding of the issue and be able to provide an effective recommendation, please provide the missing key information below:

  1. Is your system a desktop PC or a laptop device?
  2. Is the affected screen the main display or a secondary screen (if using multiple displays)?
  3. Was the system working properly with the Button Host before installing driver version 32.0.101.7084? 4. If yes, what prompted you to update to this graphics driver version?
  4. Please generate and share your SSU (System Support Utility) log file for system configuration review.
  5. What type/model of Button Host device are you connecting?
  6. Does this issue occur immediately upon connection or after a specific action?
  7. Are you using any specific software with the Button Host device?

This information will help identify the root cause and provide an appropriate resolution.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello CP61

Thank you for sharing these important details.

Before we proceed, please note that this is an OEM device, we will try to assist you with general troubleshooting steps even if it’s something not traditionally covered in our support. However, if the issue still persists, you will have to contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer of your device. Your device manufacturer may have altered features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to some components for better compatibility with your system.

For 11th Generation through 14th Generation Intel® Processor Graphics:

  1. As of September 19, 2025, Intel will be moving 11th - 14th Gen Intel Processor Graphics and related Intel Atom®, Pentium®, and Celeron® processor graphics to a legacy software support model. Intel will provide software support for affected products on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only. Software updates for these products will move to a quarterly release cadence with additional critical releases as needed.
  2. Only critical fixes and security vulnerabilities will be addressed in quarterly driver releases going forward.

Would like to continue with the support? Please note that even if the issue is fixed by our developers, the fix will only come to Intel Ultra Core Series 1 or newer drivers and will not be included on the driver of your graphics card.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.
