Intel UHD 620 Cannot Play Games After Driver Update

Hello,

Since my Intel UHD 620 updated to the 30.0.100.9684 driver, none of my PC games are able to work.  They load without crashes but are stuck at 1fps.  I've tried a range of other solutions and nothing has made a difference, until I noticed other people complaining of the same issue with this update.  I tried manually reverting to the previous driver but received an error message when running the installer.  Do I just need to wait for the next update to fix this?

Update, in case this helps anyone else: I managed to revert the driver by running the old driver installation as an administrator, and this indeed fixed the problem - and demonstrates that driver update 30.0.100.9684 broke something.  Probably won't be downloading any more updates for a while.
