Issue running Illustrator

Hello, I run an Acer TC-780 with an Intel HD Graphics 630 GPU. The graphics driver is up-to-date (31.0.101.2130). I'm running into an issue with Illustrator that I don't have with Photoshop. The clipped files have a white background whenever i click and drag/move them. In some files, the white background stays "on" even though they haven't been moved or touched, and i have double-checked that there are no filled-backgrounds, they're all clear.

This doesn't seem to be an Ilustrator/Adobe issue, as no one else is experiencing this. I've tried uninstalling the program, reinstalling, resetting, restarting, nothing's working. I've recorded a screenshot of what I'm experiencing. Hoping someone can help me here. thanks in advance!
