Hi all,
I need some much needed help with this issue.
I had to clean install my Acer Aspire V5-471P with WIndows 8. I installed all the drivers from the Acer website and the screen became distorted. The laptop has a touchscreen. It is the same issue that can be displayed here -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JOIdAK4kS4 [Problem] Acer Aspire V5-431P VGA Driver on Windows 8 Error - YouTube
I thought it might be a windows 8 issue, so I installed Windows 7 and I still have the same issue.
I have been installing the latest driver from the Intel site, yet still the same problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Crellisacer

Hello Crellis,
It is important to say that the drivers that Intel ® provides are generic drivers for OEM systems. This means that it is possible that the drivers provided may not work as the custom drivers provided by the OEM.
From our side, I recommend you installing the latest driver for your graphics controller that can be downloaded at the following link:
As mentioned before, the driver above is a generic driver. We as Intel® provide the hardware to the computer system manufacturers and they will design their own software. Due to this reason, and since your computer is a touch screen unit, I recommend you contacting the manufacturer to troubleshoot the system and get their custom drivers.

Hello!
I think this is the same problem (video is missing) that i posted in this thread:
I think that windows drivers have some kind of problem. Various models from diferent manufacturer reported this problem, is there anyone who really can help to figure out what´s the problem? in my case i have this problem even with OEM drivers and after changed the CPU and mainboard, so isn´t a hardware problem, and in linux this problem doesn´t exist. The only solution for me is using a very old driver (8.15.10.2291)
Please, any help from intel would be appreciated
