Some times when I power on my computer I have a few screen resolutions options to choose from. But most of times not.
What is wrong with my computer?
I tried updating my Intel Graphics Driver to the latest version, still the probem remains.
I don't want/need a too fancy screen resoultion, but I want to use something like 1280x800

1-This change on the available resolutions that you see, happens when you connect your desktop to one monitor?
It happens sporadically. It isn't predictable.
Tonight, I turned on my computer and all the resolution options were there.
By the time of this post the options are all there.
2-Are you connecting your desktop to the same monitor when you see the change?
Yes.
Always the same monitor. I never change.
3-Which will be the model of the monitor?
Samsung SyncMaster 592v
4-If the issue is related to one monitor, could you please provide me with the model?
Not applicable.
I never change the monitor.
-If you are using more than one monitor, or if you exchange the monitor when you connect your desktop, could you please provide me with both models?
That's not the case.
I could maybe try to connect to a different monitor to see if it enables other resolutions than 800x600 and 1024x768.
