So recently I had a windows update on 8th of September not exact, but the main problem is that after the update my laptops feel a little bit laggy and crashes such as stuttering and blinking problems happened. I didn't do any hard graphics related works, just small coding and watching youtube but sometimes the screen ghosts and it makes the screen blinking, but when I let it rest for 3-4 hours, the problem is gone but later when I went back to work the problem would re-appear. Was this a problem with my graphics card? core processor? overheating? or maybe hardware problem?
These were my laptop specificatons
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Home Single Language
System Model: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 x64-based pc
Processors: Intel64 Family 6 Model 140 Stepping 1 GenuineIntel ~1900 Mhz
CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHzGb
GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
Memory: SSD 16gb
Been using this laptop for 4 years and its my first time encountering this problem, any helps to fix this issue?

Hi Michael,
Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support regarding the screen stuttering and blinking issues you're experiencing on your HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 after the Windows update in early September.
Based on your description, this appears to be related to graphics driver compatibility issues that can occur after Windows updates. Your Intel Iris Xe Graphics may need a driver update to resolve the stuttering, blinking, and ghosting problems you're experiencing.
Recommended Solution: Please try updating your Intel graphics driver to the latest version:
Version 32.0.101.7076 Download Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/864990/intel-11th-14th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html
Installation Steps:
- Download the latest driver from the link above
- For best results, perform a clean installation using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)
- Clean Installation Guide: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html
- Restart your system after installation
Important Note: Since your HP Spectre x360 is an OEM device, HP may have made customizations to the graphics drivers. While I'll provide best-effort support, if the issue persists after the driver update, you may need to contact HP support for device-specific assistance.
Questions:
- Have you already tried updating your Intel graphics driver since the Windows update?
- Does the issue occur immediately upon startup or only after extended use?
- Are you comfortable with performing a clean driver installation?
For faster troubleshooting and real-time assistance, I can offer a phone consultation to guide you through the driver update process and additional diagnostic steps if needed.
Please try the driver update first and let me know the results. If you'd prefer phone support for quicker resolution, please provide your preferred contact number.
Best regards,
Dean R.
