Linux driver for x58 chipset?

Hi,

openSUSE 11.3 installer cannot find a SATA drive attached to my Gigabyte GA-x58A-UD3R motherboard. I think I need an x58 chipset driver for Linux, however I cannot find it on the Intel website.

Where would I find this driver?

Problem solved: SATA cable was attached to the Gigabyte SATA sockets on the GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard with the JMicron controller, not the normal SATA sockets with the ICH10R controller. Once the cable was moved, the HD was recognized and the SUSE 11.3 installation began normally.

User needed to run the SATA cable to an ICH10R connector.
