MS powerpoint ribbon does not scale when plugged into external monitor using Intel Iris 540 on windows 10 Pro.
Other Office applications display fine and the display transitions fine to the laptop alone. These monitors worked fine before. Spent a few hours on the phone with Office powerpoint support and they thought it was an issue with graphics card and not Office, not surprisingly.
The same display issue is true for PDFs as well.
Any help appreciated!

Hello rr54:
In order for us to better assist you, we just need to gather some information:
What is the model of the processor?
What is the model of the motherboard?
If this is a laptop, what is the model of the laptop?
What is the model of the monitor?
Which video port are you using to connect the monitor?
Did it work fine before?
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello rr54:
The following driver belongs to Dell, on the following link at the bottom, you will find a list of drivers, look for the one that says video and install it:
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/xps-13-9350-laptop/drivers/advanced http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/xps-13-9350-laptop/drivers/advanced
If the problem remains after that, the processor works with Intel® Iris™ Graphics 540, that is the graphics controller, on the following link, you will be able to download the latest version of the graphics driver for that controller, please try to install the driver manually:
Instructions to install the driver manually:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html
Driver 4474, latest:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26099/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26099/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-
If the problem persists, then you can un-install the driver from device manager, by selecting display adapters, the right click where it says graphics driver, and select Uninstall, then try a Windows update, Windows will install the graphics driver that belongs to Microsoft, and test the PC to see if the problem got fixed.
Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks Alberto. On the first suggestion - it appears I have a newer version (29.19.15.4483) installed than what's in the dell link you sent (20.19.15.4454). Would you recommend going with the older version?
Also - I forgot to mention I'm connecting through a WD15 Dell docking station. I've updated all the drivers for that and it has not fixed the problem. I'm waiting on an adapter to connect the laptop directly to the monitor to see if that fixes the issues.

Hello rr54:
Thank you very much for that information.
In that case, we can wait for the adapter to connect the laptop directly to the monitor first, just to check if the issue gets fixed by doing that.
If the problem persists once you tried that, then yes, we can try driver 29.19.15.4483 to see if that works.
Also another option will be to try a newer version of power point.
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello rr54:
I just wanted to check if the problem with power point still persists or if it was resolved?
Any questions, please let me know.
