Mobile Intel® 5 Series Chipset

Are there any linux drivers (even beta) available for this chipset? Have several macbook pros, wanting to run linux.. works on all except my macbook pro 6.1 release (has the intel 5 series chipset). since mac uses a bsd kernel I would assume there are drivers out there.

My mac book pro 5.2 uses nvidia mcp79 drivers.. works flawless.
