Monitor won't display on Windows 10 on Intel HD 520 graphics through HDMI

I don't know where to post this so I thought here is a great idea. Anyways, I got this other old computer, it's a dell sff with i3 6100, intel hd 520 graphics and 4gb ram installed. Every time I install windows 10 and update computer to the latest driver, it won't display anything after that. It will turn off the monitor by itself and that's it. I don't know if it's a graphics issue or monitor because the monitor displays on Linux but not windows but displays windows with a AMD graphics card but not on intel graphics. Can anyone help me on this? The monitor is very old, it's a gateway HD2200 but I want to use this monitor for this pc I have.

Apologies for the delay on my response. Before we proceed, please note that this is an OEM device, so we will try to assist you with general troubleshooting steps. However, if the issue persists, you will have to contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer of your device. Your device manufacturer may have altered features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to some components for better compatibility with your system.


Please provide the following:

  1. What is the graphics driver you are using?
  • Confirm you are using the latest WHQL graphics driver available (let us know the exact driver version you are using).
  • A clean driver installation using DDU in safe mode is recommended. Follow this link for instructions.
  • You could also test using the latest Beta driver. Our Beta drivers go through all Intel quality assurance processes and are safe to use for evaluation.


Let us know if the issue still persists after the clean installation.

Hello, I'm using driver version: 31.0.101.2115. I have an Intel HD 530, sorry for the mistake. I manage to buy a new monitor and everything is working very good. I believe it was a monitor issue but still, thanks for the reply.
