Greetings from Intel Customer Support,

Thank you for posting your query on the Intel Community Forum!

Thank you for contacting us and for providing detailed information regarding the issue with Monster Hunter Rise crashing at launch.

We understand that you have already performed extensive troubleshooting, and we appreciate the time and effort you have invested in isolating the problem. To assist us with further investigation, we kindly request the following information:

  1. Intel System Support Utility (SSU) report:

  • Please ensure that the “Networking” option is unchecked while generating the SSU report.

  1. Event Viewer Logs:
  • Export the Application Error event related to MonsterHunterRise.exe and share the resulting .evtx file.
  1. Crash Logs or Dump Files:
  • Please check the following locations for any crash dump files and share them if available:
  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
  • Monster Hunter Rise installation directory

Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could perform the following tests:

  • Temporarily disable Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) and reboot the system.
  • Perform a clean boot and test the game.
  • Reset the game's configuration by renaming or removing the Monster Hunter Rise configuration folder located under %LOCALAPPDATA%\CAPCOM\MonsterHunterRise.
  • If possible, test the game on a stable public release of Windows, as compatibility issues can occasionally occur on preview builds.

Once we receive the requested information and test results, we will continue our investigation and determine the next appropriate course of action.

We look forward to your response.

Hello nls016,

Greetings from Intel Customer Support,

Thank you for performing the requested clean installation using DDU and for sharing the results.

We appreciate your detailed testing and confirmation that Intel Graphics Driver version 32.0.101.8826 was successfully installed. We understand that Monster Hunter Rise continues to crash at launch and that the latest Event Viewer entry reports exception code 0xc000001d.

To assist us with further investigation, please provide the latest crash dump file generated after testing with driver version 32.0.101.8826. Since the file exceeds the forum attachment size limit, you may upload it to a cloud-sharing service such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or a similar platform and share the download link with us.

Additionally, we note that your system is running Windows 11 build 26200.8524. As this is a preview/Insider build, we would appreciate your confirmation on the following:

  • Have you tested the game on a stable public release of Windows 11?

Hello Roy,

Thank you for your reply.

I have uploaded the latest crash dump file generated after testing with Intel Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8826.

Crash dump link:
[MonsterHunterRise.exe.29444.dmp]

Regarding Windows version testing:

I have not specifically tested the Xbox version of Monster Hunter Rise on a stable public release of Windows 11.

However, I previously tested the Steam version of Monster Hunter Rise on this same system and experienced similar launch crashes. Based on my recollection, this was before I moved to the current Windows 11 Insider/preview build, although I cannot fully verify the exact Windows build that was installed at that time.

At this time, I am not planning to reinstall or roll back Windows solely for testing purposes. If your engineering team believes testing on a stable Windows build is necessary to continue the investigation, please let me know.

Please let me know if any additional information is required.

Hello nls016,

I hope this message finds you well.

Thank you for sharing the details previously. We would like to inform you that the version you are currently using is a preview/optional build of Windows 11. While such builds may include early features and updates, they are not fully validated for general use and may sometimes lead to unexpected behavior or compatibility issues.

To ensure better stability and accurate troubleshooting, we kindly recommend installing a stable, fully released version of the operating system (latest official update via Windows Update). This will help us isolate the issue more effectively and provide you with the most appropriate resolution.

Please let us know once the system has been updated, or feel free to reach out if you have any further queries

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hello CM,

Thank you for your response and recommendation.

Following your suggestion, I attempted to use the Windows "Go Back" feature to revert to the previous Windows version. Unfortunately, Windows reported that the files required to return to the previous version had already been removed from the system, and therefore rollback is no longer possible without performing a full Windows reinstallation.

I have attached a screenshot of the message displayed by Windows:

"We're sorry, but you can't go back. The files we need to take you back to a previous version of Windows were removed from this PC."

As this is my personal system and it also contains work-related applications and security software, performing a clean installation would require significant reconfiguration.

Could you please help clarify the following:

  1. Is Monster Hunter Rise expected to run correctly on Windows 11 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8524) with Intel Arc Graphics on an Intel Core Ultra 155H platform?

  2. Are there any known compatibility issues between Intel Arc Graphics and the RE Engine used by Monster Hunter Rise?

  3. Are there any known issues specifically affecting Monster Hunter Rise on Intel Core Ultra 155H systems or Intel Arc integrated graphics?

  4. Since Monster Hunter Wilds is able to launch and reach the main menu on the same system, while Monster Hunter Rise consistently crashes, does Intel have any known reports regarding compatibility differences between these two RE Engine titles?

  5. As rollback is no longer available through Windows Recovery, can troubleshooting continue on my current Windows installation, or is a clean installation of a stable Windows build the only remaining supported option?

For additional context:

  • Monster Hunter Rise continues to crash on startup.

  • Monster Hunter Wilds is able to launch and reach the main menu on the same system.

  • The First Descendant runs successfully on the same system.

  • I am not enrolled in the Windows Insider Program.

  • The current Windows build was obtained through the normal Windows update process available on my device.

I would appreciate any information regarding known compatibility issues, expected behavior, or additional troubleshooting steps that may help determine whether this is related to Windows, the graphics driver, or game-specific compatibility.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your guidance.

Hello nls016,

Thank you for the comprehensive update and for attempting the rollback as suggested.

I understand your situation regarding the Windows version and the inability to perform a rollback. Given the circumstances, let me address your questions:

Regarding Monster Hunter Rise compatibility:

  • Intel Arc Graphics are generally compatible with Monster Hunter Rise on Windows 11
  • The RE Engine used by Monster Hunter Rise should work with Intel Arc integrated graphics on Core Ultra 155H platforms
  • The fact that Monster Hunter Wilds launches successfully on your system indicates that the hardware and drivers are functioning correctly with RE Engine titles

Troubleshooting without reinstalling Windows: Yes, we can continue troubleshooting on your current installation. Here are some steps we can try:

  1. Update Intel Arc Graphics drivers to the latest version 32.0.101.8826 from Intel's website
  2. Verify game files through Steam (if applicable): Right-click game → Properties → Local Files → Verify integrity of game files
  3. Check Windows Event Viewer for specific error codes when the crash occurs
  4. Please reinstall the game

I would also appreciate it if you could provide the crash dump files generated when the game crashes. These files can help us better understand the cause of the issue and assist with further investigation. If available, please share any crash logs, dump files, or Windows Event Viewer error entries related to the crash.

You may also review the official game requirements on the Steam page:

Please let me know the results of these steps, and we'll continue working toward a resolution.

Hello Roy,

Thank you for your continued assistance.

I would like to provide additional findings from my testing and clarify the troubleshooting steps I have already performed.

To clarify the testing history:

  • Monster Hunter Rise (Steam full version) never successfully launched on my system. After pressing Play, the game immediately crashes and no game window is displayed.

  • After multiple troubleshooting attempts and continued launch failures, I refunded the Steam version.

  • To determine whether the issue was specific to Steam, I purchased and tested the Xbox PC version of Monster Hunter Rise. The Xbox PC version also crashes on launch.

  • I then installed and tested the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo on Steam. The demo exhibits the same behavior as the Steam full version and does not open a game window before crashing.

I have also updated the Intel Arc Graphics driver to version 32.0.101.8826 as recommended. After updating, the issue remains unchanged and is still reproducible across the Steam version, Xbox PC version, and Steam Sunbreak Demo.

For comparison, Monster Hunter Wilds is able to launch on the same system, reach the main menu, and has previously entered gameplay, although it may later crash during gameplay. This suggests that RE Engine titles are at least able to initialize and run on this platform.

My system is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with Intel Arc Graphics, which exceeds the published minimum requirements for Monster Hunter Rise.

For the latest Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo crash, Event Viewer reports:

Faulting application name: MHRiseSunbreakDemo.exe

Faulting module name: MHRiseSunbreakDemo.exe

Exception code: 0xc000001d

I was also able to locate crash dump files generated by the crashes.

The crash dump files can be downloaded using the following link:
Items Shared on 6-13-2026

The folder contains the following crash dumps for analysis:

  1. MHRiseSunbreakDemo.exe.21984.dmp (Steam Sunbreak Demo)

  2. MonsterHunterRise.exe.26368.dmp (Xbox PC version)

Since the issue reproduces across:

  • Monster Hunter Rise (Steam full version)

  • Monster Hunter Rise (Xbox PC version)

  • Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo

it appears to be independent of a specific game installation or distribution platform.

I hope these crash dumps and Event Viewer details will help identify the root cause of the issue. Please let me know if any additional logs, dump files, or diagnostic information would be useful.

Thank you again for your time and assistance. I appreciate your continued investigation into this issue.
