Norton detects a virus

This update has been refused by Norton several times.

 Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7080 for 11th-14th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor Graphics.

I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who is having issues with the newest driver update.  I have TotalAV Security, and I get an error message that TotalAV has detected a threat to powershell.exe and blocks the download. I have attempted on several occasions to download and install with TotalAV disabled and I get downloads fails.  I ended up going back to version 32.0.101.7076 which downloads and installs with no issues.   I have attempted the process on Nov 7th and Nov 8th.

Mam to samo. Wszystko wskazuje na to że mój Norton wykrywa niebezpieczne działanie. Czyli dostęp i polecenia w instalacji, które mogą być niebezpieczne. Zaryzykuje i zainstaluję ten sterownik. Zobaczymy co się będzie działa.

Jestem po wgraniu sterowników i resecie komputera. Po skanowaniu komputera Norton nie znalazł żadnych zagrożeń. Wydaje się że to tak zwane dmuchanie na zimne przez programy anty wirusowe, które wykrywają próbę zmian w zabezpieczonych obszarach, podczas instalacji sterowników co jest naturalne. Będę obserwował tę sprawę. Zobaczymy co się wyjaśni w przyszłości ponieważ takich zgłoszeń nie powinno być podczas instalacji sterowników.

Exactly the same issue. Norton identifies powershell to be infected with IDP.HELU.PSE53 - Command line detection and stops the installation.

To effectively address the issue, kindly share the information below.

 

1. Have you tried rolling back to the previous driver 32.0.101.7076 for testing?

2. Are you using Intel Driver & Support Assistant to update the driver?

3. At what stage does Norton detect the threat?

 

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

1. Have you tried rolling back to the previous driver 32.0.202.707C for testing? previous driver which so far cannot be updated works

2. Are you using Intel Driver & Support Assistant to update the driver? yes

3. At what stage does Norton detect the threat? as soon as installation starts
